In 1966, two hiking
enthusiasts founded a small mountaineering retail store in the
heart of San Francisco's North Beach. The Company soon became
known as The North Face, a retailer of high performance
climbing and backpacking equipment. The name was selected
because in the Northern Hemisphere, the north face of a
mountain is generally the coldest, iciest and most formidable
to climb. These shoes are comfortable beyond belief,
extremely stable, highly recommended to any shoe shoppers out
there, always emphasizing the
finest quality materials resulting in matchless comfort. You
can actually see the quality, boys & girls.

The North Face Philter Wow! Finally the perfect
water shoe. I bought this shoe for hiking in rivers, and for
canoe portages. It has an amazing drainage system in the sole
of the shoe, with a wire mesh to keep debris from getting into
the shoe. The insole is very supportive and well padded, and
it also has built in drainage to get the water out of your
shoe quickly. The shoe is quite comfortable without socks,
nothing stiff to rub anywhere. It laces up easily on my narrow
foot but I think it would fit a normal or wider foot too. The
shoe is quite lightweight. The sagegrass green/gravel brown is
a lovely natural color for camping trips. My only complaint is
that the tongue and collar are padded and therefore take a
little longer to dry than neoprene would, and the North Face
Fisher Canyon These sandals ARE adjustable, like the Chaco and
Keen styles you pull the webbing to adjust kind of like laces
pull tight. They should come with instructions because it's
not obvious if you're not familiar with that style of sandal.
I have a very narrow foot, and these are still too narrow for
me because of where the webbing is attached to the insole and
yet the webbing will not tighten down all the way for a snug
fit because of where the buckle is attached. |
